erlang mode in emacs is very handy.
C-c C-k (erlang-compile) will start a erlang process in a separate windows and compile the script. I do not need to switch between editor and shell all the time now.
When I start up emacs in shell, I got this error message:

But my config file works fine with Aquamacs.
It turns out the stock emacs that comes with OSX is version 22.1.1. If I switch to emacs from brew, which is of version GNU Emacs 24.2.1, the error message goes away.
