Drag and Drop Is Bad for Data Center

I just drag and drop some files to a remote server. However the drop off destination is a batch file because it is where the mouse cursor moved to. At the end the batch is executed, rather than files being copying.

Trying Packer

Trying to use packer to build a box for the first time. Encounter permission problem

    $  packer build -var 'aws_access_key=ABC' -var 'aws_secret_key=XYZ' my-basebox.json
    amazon-ebs output will be in this color.

Emacs on Osx

Trying out emacs from brew. Here is the output:

    $ brew install emacs

        launchctl load ~/Library/LaunchAgents/homebrew.mxcl.emacs.plist

Gwmi vs Wmic

wmic is a command line tool. gwmi stands for ‘get-WMIObject`, a command of Powershell.
